and so after the fourth workout of the crossfit games i found myself in 42nd place in the 50-54 age group. i thought, hmmm, what would be the best thing to bump me up into the top twenty?! I KNOW! a 50k run! imagine my disappointment when they announced THIS wednesday night ...

baha! as if i'll get beyond 9 reps! i can do both of these, just not very fast. oh well! will give it my best!
i got an email from the mighty one on tuesday - ' Are you running today? If so when and where?' yikes! the last time he came with me, he took down a tree, rolled both ankles and ended up walking shirtless down coolihans (not that i minded that part). so i was a little leery! we decided albion double track was probably safest, especially considering he hasn't been able to run for a year due to a nasty knee injury! i am happy to report that it went well - all body parts still together and no trees were harmed! and he took his shirt off ...
i lost a total of 6", mostly from my boobs and belly. not sure i look much different, but i sure feel better! miraculously i haven't eaten ANY sugar - other than gels on my long runs - since we started. and my coffee is still 'creamless' ! check out the cheezy before/after shots ...

ReplyDeleteI think you and Kim both look GREAT!. What do you mean, "finished' the diet? Aren't you going to stick to it? Hard to believe there are 41 other women in your age group who can do what you do.
