finally got some real snow for the dions ...

the girls have mixed feelings about our new concept 2 rower, but baby ghetto is obviously loving it!   she did 2000 meters the other day - not too shabby for a 9 year old!

and tuesday was the big day - the test - the anticipated result of all the training the mighty one had been putting us through lately.  we had to do FRAN!  one of the most dreaded of the 'girls' in crossfit!  FRAN consists of 65lb thrusters and pull-ups - reps of 21-15-9.   i donned 'the shirt' just to set the mood.  it was awesome!  to-nay split us into groups of 2 and counted us down.   my 'rack neighbour' - jason p - was in the first heat and he crushed his old time by 90 seconds - incredible!   and then it was my turn - second heat - 3,2,1, go ... - and pow - knocked almost a minute off!  holy krap!  i was stunned!  here we are pointing out our times!!

and here we are with the beautiful sara - who also knocked 90 seconds off her time!  i think i've mentioned way more than once that i want to be strong like her when i grow up!!  you guys are amazing!!!

i was running through palgrave tuesday and came upon these two characters ...

and then it hit - the storm - the snow palooza of 2013 ...

all of my clients cancelled, and the gym shut down at 1, so i was handed a snow day!  mike also had the day off, so we threw on the shoes and stomped around the single track in palgrave.   krazy!  what would normally take me just over an hour to run, kept us busy for 2.5 hours!

sweet !!!

and then on sunday me and everhard met at the tai chi center and headed west on the bruce.  it was gorgeous in there with at least 6" of fresh snow!

bunny poo ...

everhard made a great path with his monster snow shoes !

up by the ski lift ...

check out the kool bird nest ...

LOVE this pic ...

seriously, what would you rather be doing ...

jump E ...

squirrel or bunny hole ?

i'm stuck !!

we got back to the cars after almost 3 hours of trekking.   everhard was pretty baked, but i wanted to keep going.  so i hiked down through the haunted forest, along the cedar path, and over to the 7th.  this was just as the sun started to  creep down over the hills ...

aha!  great shirt! thanks lucy!

and so after 4 hours, i begrudgingly took off the dions and headed back to the treehouse!   what a beautiful day ...
