not much going on ...

 it's been a quiet couple of weeks since my 1000 burpee fiasco.  my left ankle/heel has been giving me grief, and the good doctor - moose - says it's because the nerves are all caught up in a bunch of scar tissue.  now if you don't think ripping that out isn't painful, you are wacked!  but it is getting better!  wahoo!

and so, i've just been running 3 days a week, still busting out crossfit 5 times, boxing with the amazing jason saggo AND i've even been on the dreaded trainer a couple of times - poor wayne!  oh!  and ahahahaaaa!  i'm doing yoga!  probably even MORE painful than the ankle stripping!

weather has been nice so i'm still running quite comfortably in shorts.  great romp through albion today!

i went to hamilton a couple of weeks ago with kat to see saggo fight.  check out my groupie t-shirt!


it was a great fight, and saggo defeated his opponent, Iraj Hadin, with a second round submission, rear naked choke.  i even know what that is now!   here's a shot afterwards with me and kat.

AND i finally got the hang of overhead squats!  here i am about to try 100lbs ...


come on grammaw, bend those krotchety old hips!


believe it or not - i did it!  pr'd !  unbelievable!    now if i could just get that fucking muscle-up ...

  1. Doing 1000 burpees at one time makes about as much sense as running 100 miles at one time. Congrats on finishing them and on your squat pr. Hope your ankle feels better soon...are you sure those squats are good for it?

  2. hay! thanks ej ! i know - burpees - wtf ??? and squats don't bother the ankle at all. it is getting better!
